Dennett F. Kouri is a partner in the Orange County office of Meserve, Mumper & Hughes LLP. Mr. Kouri specializes in insurance and business litigation. Particular areas of expertise include general business, contract and commercial litigation, probate and trust litigation, elder abuse litigation, guardianship and conservatorship proceedings and representation of life, health and disability insurers in litigation and related matters. Mr. Kouri also acts as a private mediator or arbitrator in resolving civil disputes and litigation, and is a court-appointed mediator for the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles.

Mr. Kouri is a past-Chairman of the Health Insurance Committee of the Tort and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association and is also a member of the Life and Litigation Committees. He is also a Member of the Los Angeles Life and Accident Claims Association, the Association of Business Trial Attorneys, the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel and the Conference of Insurance Counsel for Southern California. Mr. Kouri is a frequent seminar speaker, lecturer and author on a variety of issues arising out of first-party bad faith litigation and alternative dispute resolution issues.

Mr. Kouri received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Law Degrees from the University of Southern California. He has been a member of the California State Bar since 1963, and is admitted to practice before all of the federal and state courts within the State of California.
