In Loving Memory
Linda M. Lawson

Linda Marie Lawson was the managing partner of Meserve, Mumper & Hughes LLP and a devoted advocate for insurance companies in matters relating to life, health and disability coverage and ERISA. She also represented management in employment-related litigation involving wrongful termination, sexual harassment and employment discrimination. She was an avid member of the Defense Research Institute Life, Health & Disability and Employment Law Committees and a past chair of DRI's Law Institute and the Life, Health & Disability Committee.

Linda graduated from Stanford University and USC Law School. She joined Meserve in 1977, where she spent her entire legal career and was Meserve's first female managing partner since the firm was established in 1889. Linda exemplified civility with zealous advocacy and was a mentor and friend respected and loved by everyone who knew her. Aside from all of her prestigious career accomplishments, Linda was, simply put, a fun and gregarious person to be around. She truly and sincerely cared for her many friends, colleagues, and clients, and would "always have your back" regardless of the circumstances.
