For decades, the firm has provided clients with adept counsel and guidance regarding various labor and employment related issues. Our labor and employment specialists advise and represent businesses of all sizes (including management) with respect to equal employment and discrimination matters; wrongful termination and other common law employment litigation, including those arising from reductions-in-force, mergers and acquisitions; personnel related matters; wage and hour issues; and employee benefits matters. These services include the litigation of claims and issues in both state and federal court, and before various administrative agencies involved in regulating the workplace, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), the U.S. Department of Labor, and the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE).

The firm’s labor and employment law practice includes the defense of claims and issues arising under state and federal employment discrimination statutes (e.g., Title VII, FEHA, ADEA, ADA) in all their stripes and complexities, as well as the defense of common law and statutory employment lawsuits for breach of contract, wrongful termination, infliction of emotional distress, defamation, invasion of privacy, and other employment related torts. In addition, the Firm’s attorneys counsel clients on their day-to-day labor and human resource issues, assisting in the implementation and review of employment policies, personnel handbooks, and contracts of employment to ensure compliance with existing wage and hour, labor and anti-discrimination laws.
